Goalkeeper Coach
Benedic Tinashe Mutodza“Lion”
“A modern goalkeeper who cannot pass is a defender short.”
Biography
They call him Lion, and after one session you understand why the name stuck.
Benedic has built his entire career on one position. Since February 2023 he has been head coach at Lion GK Goalkeeper Academy in Arabian Ranches 2, Dubai, working with every age group. His coaching focus is concrete: fundamentals, handling, passing and distribution, dealing with crosses and one-versus-one situations — the moments that decide matches.
His grounding came in South Africa: four years at BBK Goalkeeper Academy in Cape Town and two seasons with Wanderers FC Langa, coaching senior keepers in the ABC Motsepe League and SAB League. Above all, he builds confidence — the one attribute a goalkeeper cannot fake.
